eLearning/Educational Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented E-Learning Developer/Visual Course Designer to transform existing training materials into engaging e-learning modules. This role requires visual storytelling, design, and motion graphics skills to bring educational content to life.

You’ll be responsible for designing and producing self-guided learning content through clear visuals, smooth animations, and thoughtful sequencing, ensuring the final product is informative, accessible, and visually engaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret scripts to identify key messages and learning objectives.
  • Develop visual storyboards and e-learning flows based on provided content (script and voice-over will be provided).
  • Design consistent visual assets using illustration tools that align with the project’s tone, brand, and accessibility goals.
  • Animate graphics and interactions to create dynamic, engaging learning experiences that guide the learner through the material.
  • Implement interactivity where applicable (e.g., click-to-reveal, quizzes, drag-and-drop).
  • Incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders and revise as needed to meet project quality standards.
  • Finalize and export materials for delivery via LMS or web platform, ensuring compatibility and accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG).

Requirements:

  • A member of the Black African and Caribbean Community. 
  • Proven experience in e-learning development or instructional design (portfolio required).
  • Strong skills in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar.
  • Proficiency in animation software such as After Effects, Adobe Animate, Vyond, or similar.
  • Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar).
  • A strong understanding of visual storytelling, learning design principles, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience developing training on EDIB, or social justice topics is a strong plus.
  • Self-motivated, communicative, and highly collaborative.

Contract Duration: flexible hours over 3-4 months
