Working with D.A.S Innovative Hub was a transformative experience for Pleo. As an organization committed to supporting all families and caregivers navigating their children’s mental health and addiction challenges, we recognized the need to ensure our services were responsive, inclusive, and culturally sensitive, particularly for African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) families.
D.A.S Innovative Hub supported us on this critical journey of learning and growth with compassion, professionalism, and deep expertise. They led engaging and thought-provoking learning modules for both our staff and board, creating space for honest reflection and meaningful dialogue. Their facilitation encouraged us to think deeply about how we show up for families in the community.
In addition to training, D.A.S Innovative Hub worked alongside us to review internal policies and documents, offering thoughtful recommendations that aligned with our values and strengthened our equity practices. Their approach was collaborative and empowering—never performative—ensuring that our work was grounded in community needs and lived experiences. Working with D.A.S Innovative Hub, Pleo is better equipped to build trusting relationships with all the families we serve, and we are continuing this journey with greater clarity, humility, and purpose.
